I've seen videos of people going over the top of Trump's wall. I don't think it will stop determined and desperate people from trying to improve their lot. The waiting process for all the immigration paperwork must be slow, I don't know for sure but I've heard that in some countries it takes years. In order to stem the flow and lessen the arguments, I propose that the US Military establish tent bases all along the border, and man them with some of the tens of thousands of enlisted men and women to work as border guards. The bases can be built using the same construction process as refugee camps, with supplies trucked in daily, communication centers established, territories defined, regulations created and obeyed. Enlistment in the military would require service at the border for a segment of the enlistment period. The creation of constant observation and policing of the border would likely slow the flow, perhaps stop it. Our military is capable, troops from all branches should participate. Ideas?
