HIRING NOW -- 1st and 2nd shifts at Engelman’s Bakery We’re looking for multiple applicants to join our growing team for picking/packing and production. • Hiring: 1st shift - 6:00 am to 6:00 pm (12-hour shift x 4 days) • Monday-Sunday; Days off may vary. $13.00 per hour + OVERTIME • Hiring: 2nd shift - 6:00 pm to 6:00 am $16.00 per hour + OVERTIME • Monday-Sunday; Days off may vary BOTH JOB DESCRIPTIONS LISTED BELOW We use E-Verify and we drug test before hiring BENEFITS • Medical plan • Dental plan • Vision plan • PTO after 1 year of service ************************************* 1st Shift Packing and Production Job: ************************************* Previous bakery experience is NOT necessary. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES • Performs quality-control inspections of finished baked products • Packs products and ensures packing is done correctly • Communicates any concerns about QC with the Supervisor • Ensures that work area is cleaned and always organized • Place product into boxes correctly at line speed • Returns all equipment and products to the storage area when finished • Maintains equipment and area in a safe, sanitary manner • Understands equipment, work area, operations, making boxes, packing, palletizing and product flow • Communicates any problems or concerns in the production process with Supervisor • Moves pallets from line to cooler or freezer properly • Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervision or Management. KEY QUALIFICATIONS • Must have dependable transportation • Must care about doing a good job • Must be able to operate equipment (i.e., tape machine, conveyors, starting/stopping & threading wrapper machine when needed) • Must be able to distinguish between all product sizes and types. • Must be able to make boxes correctly at line speed. • Must be able to pack correctly at line speed. • Must be able to operate manufacturing equipment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Must be able to stoop and bend while lifting weight up to 50 lbs. • Must be able to stand a minimum of 10 hours to 14 fourteen hours on a daily basis • Must be able to climb fixed and portable ladders to a height of 10 feet PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • High School Diploma or GED preferred • 1-3 years of general work experience • Prior production/manufacturing machine operation experience preferred ********************************************************************************************* ********************* 2nd Shift Production Job ********************* • You are focused on the consistent production of a high-quality product in a baking facility by performing various duties; including the safe operation of machinery, packaging products, mixing ingredients, sanitation, and moving and/or stacking materials and equipment used in the production of fresh-baked products. • You will examine and reject products that do not meet specifications; observe, maintain, and address issues to prevent and reduce waste. • You may relieve associates for breaks/lunches as well as performs all job functions of these positions. May fill in for absent positions in production or packaging areas. • You may be responsible for proper interpretation of all formulas and development of all doughs, including but not limited to time, temperature, weight, and exceptions to formulas. • You will accurately measure ingredients and load ingredients in the proper order into the mixer and maintain the mixer schedule. • You must follow, demonstrate, and understand all Environmental Health & Safety (OSHA) requirements. • You will maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). • You will meet Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirements. • You will participate and successfully completes all Company approved and required training, audits, etc. • Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. • 1+ years of manufacturing experience is preferred. • Must be 18 years of age or older. • Ability to lift 50 pounds, stack/unstack or carry, stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods of time (except for break and lunch periods), climb, perform repetitive motions, and work in a dusty, loud, and hot environment. • Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, irregular and/or rotating shifts, (non-consecutive days off), and work nights, holidays, and weekends (frequently required). • Bilingual a plus.
