Austin Flower Co. is a small, locally owned wholesale flower importer. What we do: We locate and import interesting and unusual flowers from all over the world for floral artists large and small. We’ve been slingin’ flowers and plants for the last 26+ years and with your help, we’ll just continue doing that unless you have a better idea. What we need help with: Until you learn the names of all the flowers in the world, we just need help with basics such as: processing mountains of flowers, getting them displayed, and sold as quickly as possible, then cleaning everything up at the end of the shift. While you’re trying to do that, we’ll need you to: answer phones, take orders, water plants, drive to the airport, tell us jokes, and lift heavy objects just to put them back down in a different spot. We don’t do any designing or arranging of the flowers. We just chop ‘em and sell ‘em. But in a cool way. Hours: We’re looking for someone to work 25-40+ hrs per week. Shifts are from 7am-1pm and 1pm-6:30pm Mon-Sat and Noon-5pm Sundays. The more hours you want to work, the more likely we’ll consider you for the job. Pay: Starting pay is $15/hr unless you have previous experience in the floral industry. No experience necessary, we’re eager to teach anything you want to know.
