**FLEXIBLE ASSISTANT ROLE $30 PER HOUR. NOT REMOTE*** We are looking for a personal assistant for our employer, a HNW international entrepreneur and investor, in the Venice area. You will only be required to work 20-25 hours per week, so this job will be ideal for freelancers and creatives/artists in need of some additional income while also freeing up ample time to focus on your other interests and pursuits. The hourly rate of pay will be $30. Where applicable, overtime hours will be compensated at $36. However, there is rarely any need for overtime. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE OR VIRTUAL POSITION. Tasks will include liaison with third party vendors, contractors and service providers (including large companies and banks regarding customer service queries). As such, you will be required to make phone calls, and you need to have a professional phone manner as well as a willingness to communicate with others. Additional tasks may include grocery shopping, driving and household duties (e.g. light housekeeping, laundry collection, and general troubleshooting). This is NOT a remote position, so we would strongly prefer candidates who live within 15 minutes of the Venice area - e.g. Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey, Playa Vista, Culver City, El Segundo, LAX. Do not apply for this gig if you require remote working arrangements. Self-employed persons may apply. WHAT WE SEEK - - At least 2 years working experience. Any experience in hospitality would be a big plus. - Professional, courteous, respectful, punctual and reliable. - Good command of English (both spoken and written). - Good at communicating and retaining information. - Able to 'hustle' and get past corporate red tape and bureaucracy. Part of your job is to hold contractors/vendors/service providers accountable to do the job that they were paid to do! - Able to commit for a minimum of 5 months, i.e. through the December holidays at least until mid-late January. - Clean criminal record, no use of hard drugs. This is a GREAT gig for freelancers and creatives/artists who live on the West Side! You will be guaranteed 20 hours per week and will be paid for these hours even when the employer is overseas (during which you will only be required to work for less than 8 hours, realistically). You can expect prompt and on-time payments. Students who have 20 hours per week to spare are also welcome to apply!
