we are a high volume cocktail bar with a full food program in Gowanus, BK. www.dirtyprecious.com/menus We’re looking for a cook to work 3 nights as well as 1 daytime receiving/prep shift. You will be responsible for prepping large projects as well as working service. For us “service” means kitchen pick ups / running and bussing food/ washing dishes and if time allows helping bartenders where needed. You should being comfortable dealing directly with the public. We make mostly everything in house so there will be potential to learn about bread making, pastry, fermentation, etc. We are a small team so if there is interest in what happens behind the bar we are always happy to share our knowledge about that as well. The shift is primarily done alone so you must be self motivated, clean, and time oriented. Pay will start at $16 p/h with a 3 month review. The kitchen person also gets tipped out 15% from the bar. We are women owned and operated, and a predominantly female staff. Must have or be willing to get a food handlers license
