Position: Warehouse Associate (Full or Part-Time) Weekly Hours: 24-40 hrs Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm Start: ASAP Pay: $18.00-$18.50 an hour starting rate, depending on qualifications (W2 employee) The Happy Beetle provides subscription door-to-door pick-ups of “hard to recycle” items that accumulate in our homes. These items can’t be placed in municipal recycling bins, but also don’t belong in trash bins. We collect these items from our subscribers, sort them in our warehouse, and then drop them off with various sustainability partners throughout Denver and Boulder. Our Sustainability Coordinators are responsible for unloading and sorting through the materials collected from our subscribers. They are also responsible for packing and loading those materials for recycling and repurposing. Additional duties include preparing collection bags for customer distribution, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse space, and assisting with various warehouse duties as needed. Candidate must have the following characteristics and qualifications: Self-motivated, efficient, reliable Good time management and attention to detail Clear communication and willingness to learn Must be 18 years or older Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds safely and be comfortable being physically active Ability to communicate effectively in English COVID vaccinations highly encouraged Our ideal candidate would also have: An interest in in occasional van driving (clean driving record required) Vehicle maintenance knowledge Experience working for a small, local business A passion for sustainability We offer: Paid training Vacation and sick leave pay for all employees Holiday pay, dependent on full-time or part-time employment status A supportive and collaborative work environment This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of sustainability and get in on the ground floor of a small, but quickly-expanding company.
