The best description is Scary Pockets, Scary Goldings, The Meters, John Scofield, SoulLive, David Ryan Harris, Brian Auger, Jimmy Smith, Jimmy McGriff, etc. groove / jam / funk / fun kind of music. I've been playing this kind of stuff for years and want to get something happening like it.
