We hold a bi-weekly event at Smokestack 1948. It is every 2nd and 4th weekend of the month from 4-7pm with the option for the host to end the session early or extend as late as 9 PM. Location: Smokestack 1948 Address: 2836 Stanley Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76110 Time: 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Price: Free Website: https://www.facebook.com/FortWorthPickers 2nd Sunday Session Details - Will emphasize more of an acoustic/electric showcase. - Players will be arranged in a circle so folks can watch the main player with a mic setup at the front center of the stage. - Will have a mic stand and PA to set up a 'lead' vocal and possible soloist mic. - Participants should bring chord sheets or notation or use whiteboard to share with others. - Emphasis on one soloist at a time. 4th Sunday Session Details - Will emphasize more of an acoustic jam rather than showcase. (no personal amps please) - Players will be arranged in a circle so folks can watch the main player with a mic setup at the front center of the stage. - Will have a mic stand and PA to set up a 'lead' vocal and possible soloist mic. (no personal amps please) - Participants should bring chord sheets or notation to share with others. - Emphasis on shared music and teaching everybody the song components. - Emphasis on one soloist at a time.
