Successful Hudson County NJ Developer / Builder / Architects has FULL TIME opening for HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (non-union), minimum 5 to 10+ years mid & high rise construction projects: underground utilities excavation/installation, building foundations, general sitework experience on excavators, dump trucks, other heavy machines. Physically able & willing to work boots on the ground side-by-side w workers as needed. CDL is a big plus but may not be req'd if skills & experience are very strong. Long-term opportunity: multiple current & scheduled projects, years of work ahead. Job reports to Construction / Utilities Superintendent, works with in-house team of civil engineers, equipment operators, skilled site workers, external contractors. EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: -5 to 10+ years’ heavy machine operating, inspecting & basic maintenance on excavators, dump trucks, cats, backhoes, skid steers, lulls, trackhoes, etc. -General sitework, roadwork, utilities work, flagging, shoot grades & stake out areas: excavating, digging, trenching, grading, move dirt, old debris & new construction materials. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: -$40.00/hr. to start + overtime. Paid parking, Health/Dental/Vision, 401K, paid sick, personal, vacation time, holidays. REQUIREMENTS / PREFERENCES: -English speaking. -Live in, or reasonable commute to Jersey City NJ. -Proof of legal status to work in US + current drivers license + social security card. -CDL, OSHA certifications, other training / certifications are very useful but may not be req'd if you meet other qualifications, you can get OSHA if hired. -Some overtime required.
