Description

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Santa Cruz County residents are being sought for advisory committees for the county's Regional Transportation Commission. There are vacancies on the county's Measure D Taxpayer Oversight Committee, the Bicycle Advisory Committee, and the Elderly & Disabled Transportation Advisory Committee, three panels that advise the commission on various transportation-related issues and projects. The taxpayer oversight committee reviews how the county spends funds from 2016's Measure D, a half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements. The deadline to apply for that committee is Jan. 3, while the Bicycle Advisory Committee and E&D TAC accept applications on an ongoing basis. More information about the advisory committees and applications can be found at https://sccrtc.org/committees. People can also contact the Regional Transportation Commission at (831) 460-3200 or [email protected].
