Explore sources of stress for children and adolescents, understand common symptoms associated with stress, and identify ways to intervene. Learn how to differentiate stress response from more impairing anxiety disorders and understand how anxiety can manifest at home and school. Dr. Jacobi will review current anxiety disorders and discuss how they are treated using cognitive behavioral interventions. Time for questions will be provided. About the presenter: David M. Jacobi, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist who serves as the clinical director for Rogers Behavioral Health in Sheboygan, where he provides supervision and training for its team of behavioral specialists and therapists. Dr. Jacobi specializes in using cognitive behavioral therapy for the treatment of obsessive-compulsive and anxiety disorders. Prior to his current role, he was the lead psychologist of Child and Adolescent CBT Services for Rogers Behavioral Health System. With an extensive background in the treatment of anxiety disorders, Dr. Jacobi has conducted research related to OCD and anxiety. He received his doctorate from Chicago Medical School and completed his internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the University of British Columbia.
