K-3rd Parents… join Math and K-8 Learning Specialist, Erika Norman, and Friends parent and math tutor and consultant, Amy Scheff, for an interactive evening about math at Friends, how we teach it, and how current research has impacted the way we teach. We will discuss practices that lead to strong understanding and what can impede learning. You'll leave understanding math development, why Friends teaching strategies might look different than when you were in school, and tools to help your kids strengthen their math learning. This workshop is for parents of students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade and takes place at the SOUTH Campus in the Great Room.
