Please join Tree Stewards of Arlington and Alexandria in planting native canopy trees in Ben Brenman Park in Alexandria, VA. This transformative work is possible because of the generous support Tree Stewards has received from One Tree Planted. @onetreeplanted Tools, gloves, and refreshments will be provided. Please dress for the weather and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty, to include long pants and closed-toe shoes. No experience is necessary, as Tree Stewards will provide instruction on how to properly and safely plant a tree. Please plan to arrive by 9:45 am to sign in and get organized. The event will begin promptly at 10:00 am with a planting demo/lesson. We expect to wrap up at 1:00 pm. Registration through Eventbrite.com is required in order to receive further logistics information and directions to the exact meet up location. Please note that, in the highly unlikely event that this event needs to be postponed due to heavy rain, the rain date for this event will be Saturday, October 29. Please also note that volunteers should not come to this event if they are experiencing any COVID symptoms, or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
