Learn about working with Christians conflicted about LGBTQ+ affirmation. We'll explore ethical, culturally-relevant counseling approaches to: Assist trainees from Christian backgrounds to develop LGBTQIA+ competency Navigate ethical issues around LGBTQ+ counseling competency and values-based referrals Work with non-affirming Christian families of LGBTQ+ clients Identify affirming theological resources to share with trainees, colleagues, pastors, and clients. Facilitated by Amy Wolfgang, Caleb Matthews, LPC, LMFT, Amber Jekot, LCSW-S, Mdiv. This workshop is open to the public. Pricing: $10 for general admission $30 admission and CEUs for LPC/LMFT CEUs the Human Empathy Project is rooted in Austin, TX​ and exists to foster empathetic connection around matters of Christian faith, gender, and sexual diversity through free confidential consultations & resources.
