Description
Carve out time on a Saturday morning to nourish the connection between your mind, body, and soul. So often we run from place to place and jump from meeting to meeting, that it becomes difficult to find time to ground down and enjoy the world outside of our responsibilities. Because of this, one of the best gifts we can give ourselves is time, time to invest in self and experience the pure joy created through human connection. Holisitic You has been designed to leave you feeling empowered, informed, and reinvigorated. We know that time is your most precious asset, so you may be wondering what our experience together looks like. Arrive at 8:45 am to save your spot and at 9 am we will kick off our morning with an uplifting power vinyasa flow taught by Corepower teacher, Taylor Chang, whose class will foster inner patience and power. No prior yoga experience is needed to move and groove to this playlist filled with culture's top ceiling-shattering female artists! After a brief intermission to refuel (surprise treats included) and connect with new friends, you'll hear from two insightful speakers on how to listen to our bodies and interpret it's signals. Dr. Nancy Chu from ProActive Chiropractic welcomes you to her educational and interactive workshop that will optimize your body’s potential and keep you less injury prone. Join us to better understand how the body deals with stress and how to manage it in minutes! Feel empowered by the new knowledge you will gain and physically release any unwanted tension! It's about bloody time! Acquire the knowledge to identify potential hormone imbalances and how to preserve your fertility by evaluating your monthly cycle. Women’s health and fertility specialist Dr. Andrea Jang, DAOM will discuss common misconceptions about period health and how to correct underlying hormone imbalances that cause menstrual irregularities including PMS and infertility. Most importantly Holistic You is devoted to empowering all people on their journey to achieve their best selves and believe this journey starts from day 1. Did you know that girl's confidence peaks at age 9? Help us ensure that every girl has equal opportunity to build the social-emotional skills to thrive. All ticket proceeds will be donated back to local non-profit, Girls on the Run of Bay Area, who inspire girls of all abilities to recognize their individual strengths while building a sense of connection in a team setting. Age-old gender stereotypes and ongoing societal obstacles require a commitment to strengthening a sense of confidence in young girls while fostering care and compassion for self and others. Stressors and trauma related to COVID-19 are undoubtedly negatively affecting girls. Now more than ever, girls need to be accepted, inspired and motivated! We look forward to meeting you soon and thank you for choosing to share your time with us!
