Looking for local advice/knowledge

Looking for advice: with 4 young kids and a not very big house it can be hard to find time and space for "adult activities" with the hubs. Overnights away are not feasible for childcare reasons, date nights are rare and when they do happen it's always such a mood killer to come home and put kids to bed and wait for them to all be in a deep sleep or chat with grandparents before they leave. I always wish it was possible to find a place to enjoy grownup time while we're out on a date but can't afford a hotel we'll only use for a couple hours. Hoping for some local advice: 1. Are there any local motels that will rent by the hour? Names and rates would be helpful. 2. Not into exhibitionism but alternatively any creative under-the-radar place we can go to and have fun without ending up on the registry? Anything along the lakeshore within a half hour of Holland. Please don't reply with something creepy like "my basement". Thanks!
