Description
The 2022 TAPA/TSITE Fall Conference will be held in Knoxville from October 26th through the 28th. Located along the scenic Tennessee River, the city has reinvented itself as a mecca for outdoor recreation in recent years. The vast Urban Wilderness, which consists of over fifty miles of biking and hiking trails within minutes of downtown, and the numerous kayak and paddleboard access points are examples of how the City has turned perceived barriers into invaluable resources.
Much like the 2016 conference in Knoxville, this year's conference will be a joint effort between the Tennessee Chapter of the American Planning Association (TAPA) and the Tennessee Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers Chapter (TSITE). The theme will be Inclusive Infrastructure for Today and Tomorrow. This theme allows for a broad array of topics relevant to communities across the state, such as multi-modal transportation options, the effects of urban renewal, affordable housing, curbside management, and temporary street closures for events or tactical urbanism projects, just to name a few. Required CM credits for Law and Ethics will be available, as well as the new topics of Sustainability & Resilience and Equity. PDH credits will also be available for Professional Engineers.
Refund Policy: Registration can be cancelled and a refund received up to 7 days prior to the conference. Individuals cancelling their registration will be required to pay any associated ticket vendor fees.
