As expected, delays in the supply chain continue to plague businesses through 2023. Totahr will host an Executive Lunch with Bob Reinecke, Global Manager of Business and Cargo Development from the South Carolina Port Authority. Participants will leave with an understanding of the robust operations of the Charleston Port, and how the challenges we are seeing on a global scale impact the region and the stock they need to do business. Business leaders attending this event can expect to hear valuable new information on topics such as: ·    The impact of global events like the pandemic and the war in Ukraine. ·    How the Charleston Port operates, and why they are among industry leaders. ·    What challenges they can expect going forward, and how they can use that to their advantage.   Bob joined the South Carolina Ports Authority in June of 2012 and works to develop new and existing cargo business with shippers/beneficial cargo owners and 3rd Party Logistic Providers. Bob is based in Chicago, and looks after the Automotive/Agricultural and Protein vertical markets for SC Ports as well as regionally interacting with Ocean Carriers on Midwest based freight. Bob has over 30 years of experience in Supply Chain, majority of his former career spent on the Ocean Carrier side of the business with CP Ships/Hapag Lloyd and Hanjin. In 2008 he started a Non Vessel Operating Carrier called North Star Container which focused on exports of Agricultural commodities to Asia markets. Since joining SC Ports in 2012, he has been active in the Upstate market with Tier One BMW suppliers, John Deere and solar panel provider First Solar who are utilizing SC Inland Port in Greer. Bob is active in Maritime organizations, currently serving as Vice President of the Midwest Foreign Commerce Club and Director of the Chicago Ocean Freights Association. He holds a Bachelor of Business degree from Western Illinois University. Please indicate your lunch selections during registration.
