Creative, musical drummer forming prog rock band

I have played in bands from experimental rock to heavy metal to blues and backing singer songwriters. I am looking to put together a 5-piece prog rock band with bass, guitar, keys and strings. I envision a band where we all write our own parts but there is a leader and main songwriter. I am expecting this band to be steeped in funk with jazz, bluegrass and heavy metal influences. This is the band where our playing excites each of us to work on our own craft while also fostering a sense of community with eachother and eventually a live audience. I see the music being the center piece of some solid friendships but also pushing the limits of what music can do for ourselves and others. I see concept albums and visual art being a part of this endeavor. This is a flake free musician posting. I am not here for excuses about why we can't make rehearsal, although I'm not some Zappa character who gets mad about real life situations. I just can't stand people who want to be a part of something in which they are not invested. Yeah, I know. Craigslist. That's why I wrote that. We'll see if it works. I have a youtube page with videos of me playing live. I have a music studio to play in. Please send your thoughts, days that are best to play, and something you have played or are working on. I will send my videos and best days as well. And, yeah, I just moved to Fairfax, CA but still have this studio so I'm posting with that zipcode to see who wants to connect from that area.
