Description

Concerned residents have always strived to improve the quality of life of the next generation. However, despite our best efforts, we continually encounter young people without a dream for their future, which is a perspective that manifests itself through social troubles such as delinquency, drug abuse, bullying, depression, and isolation. The aftermath of the pandemic has only compounded these issues. Also, educators and their faculties are facing the challenge of not only improving the academic experience of their students but also providing wisdom to make the right life choices and hope for their future. What is apparent now more than ever is that we, as community leaders and educators, need a way to plant principles in the hearts of the youth that can guide them to a fulfilling life and lead to their healthy contribution to society. Mind Lectures in New York Public Schools Mind Lectures for the New York City Police Department The Youth Life Advancement Initiative meeting invites community leaders, first responders, law enforcement, correctional officials, pastors, and educators across the country to discuss the implementation of Mind Education. This curriculum vividly illustrates to students the importance of deep thinking, self-discipline, connection to others, the exchange of the heart, and the power of a change in character in the hopes of building healthy-minded leaders. The meeting will take place at 4 PM at the Landers Center on Tuesday, October 11th. This year’s gathering will be hosted right before the Gracias Christmas Cantata, a musical extravaganza that has reunited families, strengthened communities, inspired young artists, and shared the love of God with those who need it the most. Please RSVP to reserve seats for you and your guests for the meeting at 4 PM and the Cantata performance at Landers Center at 7 PM. Through these various initiatives, we are working to positively impact our communities. We cordially invite you to this ongoing conversation that strives to bring about lasting change in our world. Notes: RSVP required. Dinner and refreshments will be served. Educators can bring family and friends to meeting. To ensure the best experience for everyone, children under 5 are strictly prohibited.
