Come out and enjoy dinner, dancing, a silent auction and an open bar while celebrating our Nation's Hidden Heroes and Helpers. There are 5.5 million military and veteran caregivers who are lovingly taking care of our wounded and ill veterans. Caregivers on the Homefront provides mental health and wellness programs to these caregivers and their children, who oftentimes become secondary caregivers in veteran homes.
The night will begin with our guest speaker;
James S. “Jim” Hall currently serves as a Supply Chain Leadership Consultant with Axidio Corporation and as a Outreach and Engagement Special Projects Manager for Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph. Jim retired after 20 years of peacetime and combat service and has been working as a supply chain and logistics leader for various companies including Target Corporation, Sears Holdings Corporation, Dick’s Sporting Goods and CVS Health. Jim is also an ordained Deacon for the diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph. Acutely aware of the growing need for mental health services, especially for veterans, Jim is working with other deacons in the diocese on a Veterans Mental Health Outreach in conjunction with the Association of Catholic Mental Health Ministers.
Hear from our founder, Shawn Moore, caregiver to her husband and other veteran family caregivers. Help us with an upstream approach to ending veteran suicide, homelessness, and divorce by supporting the entire family unit.
