Welcome to the launching of “The sWord”! It is a Bible teaching series that God has assigned me to spearhead in this season. My message and mission are to teach people how to wield, engage, and sharpen their sword—the Word of God. A sword is an emblem of authority and power, triumph and protection, strength, and courage amongst many other things. It is a very powerful and close-range weapon! As soldiers and warriors of God, we must be able to use our spiritual sword and weaponry properly, effectively, and skillfully to generate favorable results and a victorious outcome in every circumstance and situation in life. It is necessary that the believer get recurring and rigid training on how to properly handle the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, for maximum protection and abiding victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. By the power of the Holy Spirit and through the Word of God, I will be teaching a powerful message from the Lord once monthly and in person starting October 15, 2022, that will provide biblical insight, instructions, and training on the sword of the Spirit—the Word of God! The Word of God is likened to a sword! In Ephesians 6:17, the “sword of the Spirit” is the Word of God, a weapon of the Holy Spirit, and God Himself. It is one of the spiritual articles of the full armor of God that He commands the believer to put on and wear in its entirety as divine protection against the schemes and attacks of our enemy, Satan, and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. In Hebrews 4:12, it is written that “the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword…”. The Word of God is the living voice of God! It is alive and active! It lives and works! It saves souls, quickens and awakens the spirit of man, pierces and penetrates the human heart, builds our faith, gives life, heals, and most importantly, reveals the character, truth, will, and power of God. The Word of God is totally efficient and sufficient! There is absolutely nothing that it cannot accomplish for us, through us, and within us if we allow it and use the Word properly. Join me on October 15 at 12:00 PM at Bunten Park Community Center for the kickoff of the first live and in person Bible teaching, “The sWord!” There will be prayer, worship, praise, and the sword of the Spirit—the Word of God. Ladies, I know you like to shop. So, there will be vendors on site to include Candle Me Crazy Co., Official Blac+Preneur, Ceces Beadz, Massage Therapist TJ Alvarado, Canvas Art by Kaiya, and Semper Fi Firearms Training. Entry is free, but you MUST register via Eventbrite to enter the facility. As a safety precaution against Covid and for headcount purpose, seats are limited to the first 75 people to sign up and only granted to those who register. Refreshments will be served. It’s time that we get back to basic training in the Word. For the Word of God is the foundation by which our faith, salvation, hope, and entire life must rest and rely upon. The Word is essential to our spiritual growth and development. We need the Word of God to live holy, righteously, prosperously, abundantly, successfully, and eternally. These Bible teachings will provide us with training and instructions on how to employ, engage, and sharpen our sword, the Word of God, for our good and His glory. Meet you there! —LaTonya D. Williams
