Description

We have made the difficult decision to rehome our pure bred Black and Tan coonhound, named Banjo. He is currently just over 1 year old, and is an incredible dog. He is great with kids, adults, other dogs, and probably cats (we don’t have any cats, but he never tried to chase or act out) he’s your typical loving and goofy dog, also fairly low energy for a young dog. He went to a formal training when he was young and knows all basic commands, as well as recalls easily. He has been trained on an e-collar as well. He won’t make a good hunting dog, because he never showed any interest. He is just our family pet. A few things to note: The main reason why we have to re-home Is that he has an illness. We spent thousands of dollars trying to find a diagnosis for him, and he result is autoimmune. He does great on a daily steroid, with a total cost of $35/month. He did lose sight in his left eye as a result, But it doesn’t seem to affect his day to day. The main problem for us is that he is an 80lb dog and while he’s incredibly gentle, he accidentally runs over my little kids often. He’s also very food motivated, which is starting to be a concern of ours. He takes things from the kids, and eats anything he can get to. We’re happy to discuss any questions in more detail. We will make sure that he goes to a great home, so please serious inquiries only. Rehome fee: $100
