HorrorFest began in the early 2000s as a means to showcase old-school horror films to fans in a theatrical environment, but now, this venerable showcase has evolved. The 2022 HorrorFest International Film Festival will mark our 20th year and will be a spine-tingling 4-day celebration of genre films--shorts and features--from all around the world. It’s the perfect way to usher in the Halloween season. The festivities will take place at the historic Electric Theater in beautiful St. George, UT from Wednesday, October 19th thru Saturday, October 22nd. While the festival will showcase a handful of higher-profile releases--attendees can expect plenty of films from up-and-coming filmmakers as well; Filmmakers we’re sure to hear a lot more about in the future. In keeping with the spirit of HorrorFest’s roots, attendees can also expect a couple of noteworthy horror film screenings of the past. And per usual, expect plenty of wonderful alternative programming; Filmmaker Q&As, storyteller panels, Secret Cinema 16mm screenings, a live script read, a costume contest, horror trivia, food, an awards gala, etc. Simply a ton of terrifying bang for your buck.
