Mini Bio.: Allyson Hidalgo is currently a biochemist/pre-med student at Arizona State University (ASU). Born in America into a strong Guatemalan Hispanic heritage, she grew up most of her life in Belize, where she attended elementary and high schools. Writing poems has been a creative outlet for her for the past five years, and she has curated a collection of poems that cover a range of experiences and emotions to which many teenagers and young adults can relate. Both her background and exposure to different cultures through travel give Allyson an expansive insight into life through the filter of the eyes of a young person.
