The AZTIFC seeks to build resilient faith-based organizations in order to facilitate sensitive care, training, resource sharing, advocacy, and social movement; Not compromising our own faith traditions, but multiplying collaboration for the greater good of Tucson and the surrounding area. These meetings are LIVE networking, training, and/or discussion meeting - we would love for you to join us! Typically we meet monthly on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 11AM-1PM. The meetings will be hosted at Hope City Church and free lunch for those attending live is included and provided by Pantano Christian Church. (A monthly invitation will be posted). This month: Trauma Informed Discipleship Dr. Sanghoon Yoo will introduce biblical perspectives on trauma informed care, presenting the integration of science and faith. In addition, he will present the essence of trauma informed discipleship that he developed with the movement, describing the key aspects and core subjects of biblical trauma informed discipleship. Presenter - Rev. Dr. Sanghoon Yoo - Founder of The Faithful City and Arizona Trauma Informed Faith Coalition Dr. Sanghoon Yoo, the founder of The Faithful City (TFC), has led ministries and social services for over two decades, holding a master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) and a Doctor of Ministry degree (DMin). He also founded the Arizona Trauma Informed Faith Coalition (AZTIFC) which has grown exponentially over the last seven years. He is certified in spiritual direction, ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) training, trauma informed care, mindfulness leadership, social emotional learning, historical trauma, and more. With the AZTIFC movement, he organizes a statewide conference, regional monthly meetings, and collaborates with numerous organizations from diverse sectors. He also offers trauma informed care training, trauma informed organizational and systemic cultural change consultation, and trauma informed faith-care discipleship. Recently, he is chairing the faith-based committee at a national coalition, Campaign for Trauma Informed Policy and Practice (CTIPP) and co-managing PACES connection, the national hub of the movement.
