This individual is responsible for day-to-day solar installations, as part of the team performing rooftop installations of solar equipment. The solar installation process is fast paced and ever changing, and we strive to install quickly and accordingly. This person will plan and execute the installations while working alongside professional electricians and team members. We are willing to train you in this career field. Overview: As a Solar Installation Technician, you're responsible for all aspects of a wide variety of duties. You’ll be carrying materials to and from the roof while attaching equipment in the correct manner, along with troubleshooting and communicating with the project Area Manager. You’ll also be handling assignments as directed by your superiors. These will include installation, maintenance, inspections and operation and repairs for our residential clients. Lastly, you will be ensuring proper job documentation is thoroughly looked over and complete prior to leaving the job site. In addition, the ideal candidate will have high attention to detail, integrity and genuinely care for his/her craftsmanship. Qualifications: • Preferred 6 months experience in Residential Solar or construction environments • Ability to work extended hours outdoors in most weather conditions • Must be willing and able to climb ladders, lift 50lbs. and work on rooftops • Excellent customer service & communication skills • Must be a self-starter with a natural sense of urgency and motivation to succeed • Preferred to have a valid state driver’s license Requirements: • Valid State Issued ID • Clean driving record (for driving company vehicles) • Ability to pass a background check Duties & Responsibilities • Installation of roof attachment hardware • Installation of Electrical equipment, wiring, and devices required to install residential solar PV Systems • Troubleshoot PV systems, repair and resolve electrical issues related • Occasional bending and installing conduit, pulling & terminating wire, cable, equipment, panels, and various control components and devices. • Tie in solar equipment in rooftop junction boxes • Follow a safety program and attend safety meetings • Ability to communicate problems to Project Manager, Crew lead, and Roof lead • Ensure a quality installation experience for the customer • Ensure all projects pass jurisdiction requirements. • Maintain high levels of quality and safety with an emphasis on quality control • Review all documentation at the completion of each job About Sunergy Solar LLC: We are Sunergy Solar, and since 2005 we've been empowering Floridians with customizable, sustainable solar energy systems.
