Description
When I was a young man, I lived in E. Dearborn Michigan, the highest concentration of Muslim individuals in the United States. Where I lived, only I and my love interest were not middle eastern or practiced Islam. We were tragic sorts, terribly addicted, terribly volatile, given to fits of violence and property destruction.
My neighbors could not possibly have been kinder, more tolerant, more nonjudgmental, or more helpful. We totally disgraced ourselves in front of them, yet they treated us with kindness and compassion.
It is fundamentalism that (in my humble opinion) is the curse of ANY religion. The same verses you quote, could be outdone by worse if you cherry picked the Bible. Live and let live.
