Arch Street Meeting House will be hosting a private screening of The Addams Family outdoors on our historic grounds on Friday, September 23rd, from 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm. For a suggested donation of $5, grab a picnic blanket, snacks, and BYOB for a special movie night in Old City.
Registration is required and includes admission to the museum prior to the screening.
Located in the heart of Old City, Philadelphia, Arch Street Meeting House is a museum, National Historic Landmark, and active Quaker place of worship. Constructed in 1804 on two acres of land deeded by William Penn as a burial ground to the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), Arch Street Meeting House has had an estimated 20,000 burials occur on its historic grounds!
Description: "Come join The Addams Family for the most hilarious scarefest of this season or any other! When long-lost Uncle Fester (Christopher Lloyd) reappears after twenty-five years in the Bermuda Triangle, Gomez (Raul Julia) and Morticia (Anjelica Huston) plan a celebration to wake the dead. But Wednesday (Christina Ricci) barely has time to warm up her electric chair before Thing points out Fester's uncommonly "normal" behavior. Could this Fester be a fake, part of an evil scheme to raid the Addams fortune?" (Paramount Pictures)
In the event of rain, the screening will be moved indoors to the East Room of the Museum.
All attendees are required to practice social distancing, and wear a mask when in close proximity to others or entering the building at Arch Street Meeting House.
Support provided by the Philadelphia Cultural Fund.
