Job brief We are looking for 2 competent Construction Workers to work on a retaining wall project. If you have experience working on retaining walls, then you know what's involved. Experience in working on relevant projects and using equipment is essential. You must have physical strength, endurance and work well with your hands and your head. Being good in collaboration and following instructions and safety rules, are very important. We are removing 40 year old RR ties and replacing with 6" x 6" x 8 ft PTW landscape timbers. Responsibilities Show up on time and have a high degree of integrity. You say what you do and do what you say. Unload and carry materials at construction sites Use equipment to break old forms and structures Prepare and apply construction materials to build structures or fill gaps (e.g cement) Plum and level new timber materials Clean out site from debris and discarded material Place traffic signals where appropriate Requirements and skills This is a 5-7 day project at a minimum of 6 hours per day. Proven experience as construction worker or handyman. Experience in operating equipment like trench rammers, drills, pneumatic hammers, compactors, etc. Knowledge of mixing and pouring construction material (concrete, sand, grout etc.) if required. Knowledge of construction principles and methods Able to work on a team Able to read blue prints. Wait, that's my job. No worries. Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written) Excellent balance and eye-hand coordination High school diploma or equivalent Provide your own transportation.
