Description

I have a fence on one side of my yard that’s 11 stockades in length. Four of them fell down last winter, leaving 7 still up. Four of the posts have rotted away and one is leaning. I need: • Take down the remaining 7 pieces of stockade fencing, as they were put in wrong before (cross pieces should be facing inward, towards the property, not facing outward. They can be stacked in the yard. • Dig out the four rotted posts in the ground and the one that’s leaning. • Replace with 5 new 4x4s which I have. Put each 2' in the ground. No concrete needed…just tamp down hard on all four sides of the posts to compact the dirt. • Put back all 11 stockade fencing pieces correctly. I have deck screws for doing that. I figure temporarily taking down the remaining 7 stockage pieces will take an hour; digging out the 5 old posts and putting in 5 new ones, about an 1.5 hours each, or 7.5 hours; and putting all 11 stockade fencing back correctly, about 1.5 hours. Total time: about 10 hours. And I’ll round it off to 11 hours. At $50.00 an hour, that comes to $550.00. Add to that $75.00 for hauling away the rotted posts, etc. You can stretch out the work to another day if you need to. I will pay you by check. I want a person experienced with putting up fencing. I want your name and a phone number so I can call or text you. Thank you.
