Description

Hello! Hope that you’re doing well today. My name is Mark. I'm currently seeking both a drummer and bassist to perform live with a Portland-based black/doom metal project called Erroneous. For fans of bands such as Katatonia, Yith, Paradise Lost and Woods of Ypres. Two demos are currently released with the first tape run having sold out. The latest release can be listened to here: https://erroneous.bandcamp.com/album/submission The starting goal with Erroneous and live shows is to partake in occasional mini tours across regions of the United States such as the west coast and Texas. Roughly three or four gigs per run. Then move forward from there. An album, music video shoot and PR campaign are all in the works to support future live performances. Sets will be three or four songs long so there will be no need to memorize a discography of material. Requirements for consideration: - Be 21+ years of age - Possess gig-ready gear - Ability to practice material outside of rehearsal - Reliable transportation for rehearsal (ideally rehearsals will occur twice a month at my home with additional get-togethers arranged closer to a starting tour date) For drummers: - Rehearse and perform live with click and backing tracks - Execute speedy and consistent blast beats (WIP material showcasing this can be produced upon request) For bassists: - Five-string minimum player or have a willingness to adapt to five-string playing There is no preference for pick or finger playing style for bass guitar as long as the material can be performed cleanly. Tabs and isolated tracks for at-home practice are available. Adding ideas and embellishments to fully written songs is encouraged for both bassist and drummer. Vocals are a plus, but not required. I'm best reached via email if you'd like to meet up. Whether it's performing Erroneous material or if you’d like to get a feel for jamming out. Thank you for your time and I wish you a fantastic day!
