Bowen Center Starke County Youth ClubAbout this in-person event: Implicit bias awareness is about eliminating discriminatory behavior and creating genuine inclusive environments. Every aspect of human life is enveloped in culture, from our racial makeup, where we live, our ethnicity, and the work we do to the moral beliefs we value.
This 2-hour training is to shine the light on subtle everyday situations wherein mental shortcuts perpetuate stereotypes, thus keeping our blind spots intact. If the goal is to do better, we must be committed to learning new information and unlearning old thoughts.
