Description

Class is open to all levels. The class will introduce fundamentals as well as advanced rythmn and technique. If you have drums, straps, mallets etc please bring to class. Some instruments will be available but in a limited capacity. Mike Scartezina has over 25 years experience playing Brazilian Percussion. He has travelled numerous times to Brasil, including living there for a year studying the music and culture of Bahia. He brings his passion for the music and respect of the traditions of Brasil to every aspect of his fun enjoyable teching methods. Julio, a member of Ilê Aiyê, the prestigious Afro Bloco of Salvador, Brazil. Founder of Tambores Julio Remelexo in 2004 (an all womans percussion Bloco).
