CONCORD, NH — Two major lottery games are reaching $400 million-plus jackpots this week.
Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing is expected to be around $432 million while Wednesday's Powerball jackpot will be $410 million. Both games have gone more than half a year without a winner. If the Mega Millions game is won Tuesday, the one-time cash payout of $330 million, while Powerball will be more than $316 million. Of course, taxes will be withheld from those figures.
"With these combined jackpots beginning to approach $1 billion, we absolutely love the excitement these growing Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots generate for our players here in New Hampshire," Charlie McIntyre, the executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery, said. "Retailers are reporting extremely strong sales as players respond to these rising jackpots, which give our players two chances to kick off 2021 as New Hampshire's newest multi-millionaire jackpot winner. We encourage players to get in on the action now."
