Mark your calendars for Jazz Thursday on October 13 at Sarasota Art Museum, including live performances by The Barker Project and extended hours in the galleries, Bistro, and SHOP!
Each second Thursday of the month features a different style of jazz--from straight-ahead to free jazz, bebop to swing--programmed in partnership with Jazz Club of Sarasota.

Enjoy The Barker Project's performance on Marcy & Michael Klein Plaza from 5:30 to 8:00 pm.Grab dinner and drinks at Bistro, which opens at 5 pm, serving a special evening menu, beer, wine, and cocktails.Explore the exhibitions in our galleries, with hours extended to 7 pm.Treasure hunt in SHOP all evening!Members always receive their 10% discount in SHOP & Bistro
ABOUT THE BARKER PROJECT
The Barker Project is a Sarasota based band under the musical direction of Johnnie Barker. A graduate of the Berkley School of Music, locally renowned bass player, Barker has assembled an array of talent that includes vocalists and horn players. With their roots in Jazz, they span the musical landscape of R & B, soul, and funk. Their creative interpretations of well-known songs as well as their original music are a thrill for audiences throughout the region.
