We sit down with Emma to discuss Dinner Bell's hybridity of magazine and zine. How to find the weird in food writing. The collaborative, joyful aspects of making a print food journal and where she's finding hope in publishing, food media and Pittsburgh as a whole. Emma Honcharski (b. 1996, New York) is a media person, artist, writer and facilitator rooted in Pittsburgh, PA. She values the curatorial nature of publishing and editing, namely the opportunity to create a physical space for other artists to share their work with new and familiar audiences on an international scale. Our aim is to showcase magazines and journals from around the world, but ultimately provide local creatives with the tools and resources to publish physical objects that are beautiful, approachable and soulful. Bottom Feeder Books, located in Pittsburgh's Point Breeze neighborhood, is a used book store specializing in collectable art, literature, film and theater.
