This presentation will provide a discussion and explanation of the various post grant patent proceedings available to both US patent holders and third parties which are handled by the Central Reexamination Unit (CRU).
Topics to be discussed include:
Ex parte reexamination, Reissue applications, andSupplemental examinationThe discussion will also include an overview of each of the three proceedings, including statutory and regulatory requirements; the benefits and limitations of each proceeding; and the interplay between these proceedings and the American Invents Acts (AIA) post grant trial proceedings.
