Description

The Ready by Five Evaluation team is well into year one of the Ready by Five Millage. We invite Ready by Five Service Partners and members of the Ready by Five Evaluation Advisory Team to join us as we reveal initial insights. Please join us for network learning with the following session topics: Exploring Patterns in Service Provider Retention Data Certain Healthy Development and Parent Education services have expectations for the number of encounters or sessions young children/parents will receive in a calendar year. This session explores how these “retention” expectations differ by service providers and the progress providers made in the first six months of 2022 towards meeting these expectations. The presentation will also explore differences in the demographic characteristics of young children/parents on-track to meet “retention” expectations in 2022. Recommend Audience: Executive Leadership and Program Staff of Ready by Five Service Providers. Key Findings from Service Provider and Family Interviews This session will share takeaways from qualitative data gathered through service providers and one-on-one family interviews conducted during the summer of 2022. Insights emerged through a thematic review and qualitative coding process of the interview transcripts. The presentation will discuss top reported successes and challenges spanning a range of topics, including outreach and barriers to access, program implementation, cultural responsiveness, and assessing program quality and impact, among others. Recommended Audience: Executive Leadership and Program staff of Ready by Five Service Providers, First Steps Kent Board Members, Ready by Five Evaluation Advisory Team Hiding and Seeking – Findings from Referral Data This session will take a deep dive into referral data from Outreach and Navigation providers and providers who refer young children/parents to additional services. The presentation will explore demographic profiles of young children/parents receiving referrals, the effects of giving multiple referrals, and the breadth of agencies young children/parents are referred to. Expect conversation on how to target specific groups and strategies for ensuring referrals are completed. Recommended Audience: Executive Leadership and Program Staff of service providers who refer parents or receive referred parents. Shaping the Kent County Way Emmy O'Dwyer of Advancing Communities for Equity will facilitate a roundtable discussion to learn from you about barriers to reaching specific populations (rural residents, cultural and ethnic groups) for direct services, staffing, and board membership. Participants are encouraged to share organizational goals and related efforts for increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion internally and externally. The information shared will be utilized to possibly design training and technical support that increases access and representation in Ready by Five programs. Recommended Audience: Executive Leadership and Program staff of Ready by Five Service Providers, First Steps Kent Board Members, and Ready by Five Evaluation Advisory Team.
