On Tuesday, September 20 from 10AM – 12PM, several advocate groups and volunteers will hold a rally on the PA State Capitol steps to bring awareness to the importance of reproductive rights and freedoms heading into the November election. Featured speakers of the rally include Senator Judith Schwank, Chair of the Women’s Health Caucus, Representative Dan Frankel, Democratic Chair, House Health Committee, Marianne Stein, Legislative Associate, American Civil Liberties Union, Sarah Horvath, MD, MSHP, OBGYN, and Melissa Reed, President and CEO, Planned Parenthood Keystone. The rally will be held on the Capitol steps in Harrisburg on a scheduled PA House and Senate Session Day, approximately one month and a half before the upcoming gubernatorial election on November 6, a heavily campaigned swing-state election seeing candidates on both sides of the Republican to Democrat spectrum of campaign messaging surrounding abortion and reproductive rights.
