Reports to: Regional Maintenance Director Competitive base salary, simple IRA; health benefits paid 75% by employer. Background and drug screening required to qualify. Education, training, experience: Northwest Austin property seeking an enthusiastic assistant maintenance technician with the required skills to complete and oversee the completion of preventative maintenance of the property. 1-years exp. preferred. Required skills include Fair Housing experience, and the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with residents and vendors. General apartment maintenance experience, knowledge of appliance repair, light carpentry, plumbing and electrical knowledge, knowledge of safety procedures, safety conscious, steady, and dependable, able to work with the pressure of deadlines, and ability to flex work schedule to accommodate after-hour and weekend emergencies. Must have a current HVAC/EPA type I or above, license in Heating and Air Conditioning. Inspect vacated apartments and complete a make-ready checklist. Inform immediate supervisor of needed services and repairs. Routinely perform duties to restore apartments to “makeready” status. Ensure adequate number of make ready units are available and that the products are up to company standards. Coordinate status of make readies with leasing staff. Must be CPO/HVAC certified Type I&II.
