Seeking Patient Assistant for Varied Tasks
Jobs
Lancaster CA
Description
Good morning, I'm looking for a part time personal assistant to do varied tasks, both around the outside of the house- light tasks that I'd like to be completed before the cold weather sets in (e.g., reorganizing a cluttered garage, and climbing up a ladder- part way up- to trim tree branches, ones that are not real high, etc.; and tasks away from the house, such as picking up health-related items for me during these next 4 to 6 weeks in which I'll be getting back on my feet (via physical therapy and other treatment for serious injuries). The pay provided would be $20/hr. And, if it so happens that the individual I hire possesses "a degree of handyman skills," I would be able to offer a couple light maintenance jobs around the house- like removing and replacing a garage sink washer/gasket (mine has a slow leak) and fixing a garbage disposal, as mine went out a couple days ago (nothing major because if there is some type of major electrical or plumbing problem, then a skilled electrician or plumber would be called). In other words, these jobs would be less involved. And for these, the pay would increase to anywhere from $30 to $40 an hour - DOE. As well, being dependable is very important to me; which means once we agree upon a time to meet, or whatever else we arrange or plan to accomplish, the person needs to be trustworthy enough to follow through on their word. Accordingly, it is a must to have a reliable and insured vehicle. I would be needing the assistance for at least 4 weeks- but no more than 6- by which time I plan to be back on my feet. Im estimating it would entail 2 days per week of assistance, at 3ā5 hours per day, the number of hours depending on the pace of the worker; the rate would be $20 an hour. If assistant happens to have tools and and accomplishes any handyman-type jobs, then the pay would be as previously stated. The qualities Iām looking for in a person are patience, compassion, trustworthy, and a positive disposition The person MUST have developed the skill of patience to a considerable degree simply because, at the start of the any given task. I'll need to come outside to give instructions (from inside the home), or, in scenarios like the garage, I'll be out there in order to search for a couple things I'd like to find and also to instruct where I want items to be placed ā there will be no heavy items to lift because everything is relatively lightweight. And because I have significant injuries which significantly impede physical mobility, it can take a long time to get from one place to another; and "this" requires a considerable degree of patience by the other person that I am interacting with. This Part-time and temporary position's start date is today - as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me; if you're interested in starting, please simply include a brief description about yourself, or any related type of work you have done. Thank you
