We are back! The Dickens Festival Holiday Craft Fair - our 28th year! After two years online due to Covid -19, we are opening our doors once again! Saturday, November 19, 2022 10 am to 3 pm ​at All Souls Church 196 Elm Street, corner of Church and Elm Streets The Dickens Festival is a unique entertainment and shopping experience with something for the young and young-at heart. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for All Souls Church. The entire church is decorated and the places buzzes with activity as we get ready for the big day. We will feature up to 27 of the area's finest crafters selling their handmade items in our marketplace. The church baking crew 'Pies by Guys' gathers in the church kitchen to bake up apple pies. Church cooks bring in delicious home baked cookies, cakes and other treats for our bake table. Admission is free and there are many things for sale. Interact with costumed characters from A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens and sing along with Christmas carols. Visit our expanded 'Olde English marketplace' with artisans (in Victorian costume) selling their handcrafted goods. Pose for pictures with Father Christmas (Santa Claus) on the steps of our Sanctuary Marketplace near the Christmas tree - and in our Parish Hall - be sure to bring your camera or cell phone. Father Christmas is gentle, non-commercial and wonderful - visits with Father Christmas are free. Take Home an Apple Pie made by PIES BY GUYS (and GALS) Baking Crew. Buy one to eat and one to freeze. Take a chance on some fantastic raffles of gift certificates and merchandise donated by area merchants. The Dickens Festival is known for its fun atmosphere, unique gifts and quality, handmade merchandise. Always the Saturday before Thanksgiving, visitors and shoppers come to The Dickens Festival for some old-fashioned holiday spirit to start off the season.
