Job Summary: This position will be responsible for facility maintenance including the regular custodial work for the Church, School and Grounds of St. Bruno Parish and School. This work is to ensure the safety and health of the parishioners, students and staff of St. Bruno. The work will include the maintenance of the facility, maintaining insurance requirements and coordinating required inspections. Primary Function of this position: The Maintenance custodian would manage the physical grounds of St. Bruno Church. This would include the upkeep and operation of the HVAC, heating systems, required general repairs and any minor repairs involving plumbing, electrical or carpentry. He/she would also schedule/coordinate inspections required throughout the year for fire, alarm systems, insurance, boiler, HVAC or any required state inspections. The custodian would accompany, when required, any inspectors as they tour the facility answering their questions. The custodian would also ensure that St. Bruno’s staff and facility is in compliance with OSHA Safety Rules and any insurance requirements. The custodial portion of this position performs or supervises the regular custodial work at St. Bruno. This includes the school and office facilities on a daily basis as required, this includes the sanitation of facilities as necessary and monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annual maintenance for the facility (furnace filters, floor maintenance, etc.) This position would also maintain the custodial supply inventories for both the school and parish. Requirements, Knowledge and Abilities ● Possession of a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. ● Complete an Archdiocese Background Check and obtain Safe Environment Certification. ● Must display a professional attitude, be a good communicator and collaborate well with staff and volunteers. ● We are looking for an individual that is self-motivated, detail oriented, can demonstrate organizational, problem solving and troubleshooting skills and is a critical thinker. ● Must be able to operate and maintain power equipment; lawn mowers, snow blowers, trimmers, etc. ● Must be able to go up and down stairs, climb ladders and lift 50 pounds Please email over resume and references
