Description

It is with an extremely heave heart I write this, but we have decided to rehome our female. She is a longhaired german shepherd, she is about to turn 2. I have raised her since 8 weeks old. She has lived with animals of all sorts, & always been a great dog. We never allowed her to breed with our male, aside from once, this year. She had a litter gorgeous LH puppies, and we planned for future litters. I am not sure what changed when she had puppies, I think it was a combination of being overprotective & maternal, and also a neighboring dog that starting hanging out at our house and bringing over dead chickens, I am not positive WHY, but she too started killing chickens. Was never an issue before and now is a big one. She always free roamed our property and we have socne started keeping her fenced, but she can hop a regular chain link fence with ease. She doesn't run away, she is very loyal and obedience, she just is use to having space and freedom. She has killed a few of my neighbors chickens and they are very unhappy with her and the only solution is me chaining her up (which she would hate) or building a higher fence which I Cannot do at this time. We are looking for a new home for her, but will be picky. She is great with kids and babies, she is very smart and sweet. She cannot go to an apartment or small yarded home (sorry). Ideally she will go to soemone with land but a big yard and walks would be sufficient too. She is house trained fully. She is not Spayed. We are in Larue tx but could always meet if needed. Asking 400 for her. Thank you.
