We are a private, parent-governed, non-profit afterschool program located in the Auburndale neighborhood of Newton, MA. We are in need of part-time afterschool teachers and assistants (THIS IS NOT A PUBLIC SCHOOL POSITION) Approx. 3-21 hours per week depending on schedule. Typical afterschool schedule: M, T, TH, F 2:20-5:50pm, WED 11:50 -5:50pm. Additionally, four early release TUES., and two early release THUR (11:50am-5:50pm). Schedule may be adjusted (day/hours) for the right candidate. MUST have experience teaching/leading/assisting school-age (K-5th grade) children in areas such as group gym games, dance, theatre, art, crafts, STEM, homework, etc. In addition to general afterschool teacher duties, afterschool teachers and assistants are responsible for general supervision, promoting positive interactions, attendance, etc. Approx. $21.00-24.00/HR depending on experience; health and other benefits may be available according to schedule.
