Hey all, we’ve got a great opportunity for a strong, experienced a Co-Lead Vocalist for our band, TopShelf! (www.thetopshelf.band). We play 2-3 times per month on average in bars, casinos, private events and outdoor concert settings. TopShelf features two strong leads who must be very comfortable singing BOTH lead and harmony for rock, modern country and pop songs, have high energy, and know how to entertain a crowd. (We're seeking a female lead, but would consider a male vocalist if they were very strong for the styles we play.) Prior experience singing in a high quality cover band is highly desired, and the ability to play keyboard or guitar is preferred but not required. Being easy to work with, collaborative and having the group’s best interest at heart is an important requirement. We respect the skills of jobbers, but we’re looking for somebody willing to commit to this as the only, or at least primary group so that our schedule is open enough to accept good gigs and minimize the use of subs. We are agent-backed and can also book gigs directly. Our main goal is to have fun with a great group of people, but depending on the venue, pay has usually been $100 - $350 per person/night. We rehearse just north of Hastings, MN and most gigs are within reasonable driving distance of the MSP area, unless an occasional a gig is good enough to justify an overnight stay.
