We have a 4 year old Spayed female BorderPitt named Sassy (AKA Sassafrass). She is such a smart and loving dog. She knows basic and a few other commands as in sit,stay,lay, she can shake with either paw, high five, sit pretty, roll over, and button as in push the handicap button to open doors and the elevator. She is potty trained. The reason we need to rehome her is due to the fact that she is beginning to be to much for my Fiancé and myself to handle with our health issues. She is not Leashed Trained which we have been working with her for 4 years to get her trained, she barks when we are not home, the neighbors and the Landlord are not happy about it. It usually takes a little bit to warm up to people and when she does she is a total love bug. She would be best by herself, although she has lived in a house with 7 other dogs and 2 kittens. She does live with 3 other dogs as well. With slow interductions to other animals she does great with. She plays gently with small dogs and cats once they are acquainted. She is an Alpha dog and protects what's hers. No small children.... We would like her to go to a home with a back yard so she can run. She loves to snuggle and will all day if you let her. We hope there is someone who can train her on a leash and stop the barking. There is a rehoming fee to make sure Sassy goes to a great and loving home like she is in now. No scammers please.
