Northern Virginia Community Association Management Firm seeks full-time Maintenance Technician and/or Porter/Laborer to support client communities throughout northern Virginia. Responsible for quality completion of maintenance tasks and projects. Duties may vary from routine repairs and preventative maintenance to projects and miscellaneous items as assigned by community managers. Position requires basic labor and reliability skills and seeks practical skills/knowledge in any/all of the following: painting, carpentry, interior finishing/trim, power washing, plumbing, masonry, HVAC and electrical work. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to performance of assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance, routine janitorial and cleanup activities, maintenance of lighting systems, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps, fence and gate repair and replacement. Licensed general contractor license not required, but a plus. GENERAL MAINTENANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: · Identify new ways/tools/assets to improve productivity. · Maintain inventory of maintenance tools/equipment. · General building and property maintenance · Inspect and maintain buildings, monitor for any damages, and repair and replace as requested · Repair and replace locks · Continually inspect grounds for safety hazards and make recommendations to repair/replace as needed · Ensure all signage is in good repair and legible · Work with managers by observing and reporting hazardous situations or potential violations during property visits. CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES · Promote Foundation Principles at all times and maintain a positive and respectful work environment · Approach work daily with a positive “Can-Do” strategy · Ensure incoming requests are courteously & efficiently handled and messages/responses are accurately documented · Serves as a Helpful Expert in exceeding customer expectations on a regular basis PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS · Ability to stand, bend, climb and walk for up to 8 hours per day · Ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs · Ability to work in variable weather conditions · Physical requirements may vary based upon duties assigned BENEFITS/COMPENSATION: • Salary commensurate with experience • Medical • 401(k) • Sick/Vacation Leave • Paid Holidays
