Lost - Stolen Luggage & Original Comic Art

On April 21, 2022 I drove down to KC from St. Louis with a friend of mine for Planet ComiCon; we both are comic artists who had booths in Artists’ Alley. That night, my car was broken into, and our luggage was stolen from my trunk. One was a large black plastic tote with bungee cords, and the other was a large black Amazon Basics duffle bag. We lost many expensive art supplies, comic books and trade paperbacks, banners and promotional materials, table stands, and portfolios full of original art (the most important part) and commissions, totaling over $6000 in losses for each of us. That’s a HUGE hit for comic artists who sell their original art at conventions. I lost 70% of all the original comic art pages I had, including my first mainstream work.
